CONFERENCE TOPICS 

The aim of the Conference is to exchange experiences on current research problems in scientific units in Poland, as well as to showcase the achievements and challenges of rail vehicle and rail transport companies. The topics of the 24th scientific conference RAIL VEHICLES covers a wide range of issues related to rail transport, in particular:

Design and construction of rail vehicles

1. Problems in the design of modern rail vehicles.
2. Multi-system electric locomotives – directions of the development structure.
3. Designing diesel locomotives in the aspect of applicable emission standards.
4. Normative documents in the aspect of strength analyzes of vehicle structures.
5. Design and ergonomics in rail vehicles.
6. Engineering software in the design of rail vehicles.

Operation and maintenance of rail vehicles

1. Own maintenance base, or purchase of vehicles with maintenance.
2. Market trends in vehicle maintenance – electronic supervision over the maintenance plan and completeness of operations.
3. Operation of wheelsets of rail vehicles.

Reliability and safety in rail transport

1. RAMS and LCC analyzes in the design of rail transport means.
2. Assessment of rail vehicle reliability.
3. Common safety assessment and risk assessment method for CSM RA.
4. Safety culture in rail transport (technical solutions, system solutions, human factor – education, passengers with disabilities).

Logistics, ecology in rail transport

The XXIV edition of the Conference gives the opportunity to publish the results of the study in the Materials of IOP Publishing (level I in the list of MNiSW publications from 2019), in the series IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering indexed in the Scopus database. Also if you are not interested in publishing in English language in the is the opportunity to publish in Polish language in RAIL VEHICLES (Scientific and Technical Quarterly).

After positive reviews, articles will be published in the materials published by IOP Publishing in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, indexed in the SCOPUS database or in the POJAZDY RZYNOWE quarterly, and their summaries will be included in conference materials.

The publications selected by the Program Council, for additional fees (depending on the publishing house), will be published in the following journals:

Instructions for preparing an article for publication in the materials of IOP Publishing, IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering:

The article should be written in English in accordance with the requirements specified in the IOP template (pdf) and the IOPCS template (docx) and should be no longer than 10 pages. It is recommended to use an article template that contains ready-made formatting styles that help in the correct preparation of the text of the article. Instructions for using the article template are provided in the following file.

The abstract of the article should present the aim of the work, results and main conclusions and should not be longer than 200 words. Please pay particular attention to the formatting of the source cited list. Citations not prepared according to the recommendations may not be properly registered in Scopus. The abstract of the article, which will be published in printed form, should not be longer than 1 page and prepared in accordance with the template of the abstract in Polish and English. Both the article and the extended summary should be sent in MS Word format (preferably * .docx).
